Mission Statement:

As we all know, the world of music has dramatically changed from the days of running out to your local music shop and buying your favorite band’s new album.  More recently we rely on the comfort of our desk chairs parked in front of computers and the .99˘ single.  Here at Plaid Star Records, we are continually working to find the solution to putting the digital world to work for independent artists and record labels, leveling the playing field between Indies and majors and making the music industry profitable for all.

Above all, our goal is to find, produce and release great music by bands and artists of all genres. We believe in this age of downloadable music but feel we, as consumers, are illegitimatizing the creation process of the “album” in its entirety.  We don’t want the “album” to die. We work with our artists hand in hand to creatively make an “album” full of .99˘ singles, striving to make our artists happy and help further their careers.

Currently, we are looking to add to our music family, which already extends from coast to coast. Anyone interested in supporting independent music, or want to submit your music, go to our contact us page.
